Q&A with Kevin Hines & Greg Dicharry, co-directors/producers
Directors: Kevin Hines, Greg Dicharry
Producers: Kevin Hines, Greg Dicharry
Sponsored by: Becky & Warren Gottsegen and Baton Rouge PARENTS Magazine

At age 19, Kevin Hines attempted to take his life by jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge. Seventeen years later, he still struggles with many of the same symptoms that led him to this extreme decision, but he is on a mission to use his story to help others stay alive. In a Huffington Post article last August, Hines defined his ambitions: “It was important for me to focus on the individual, human element, the stories of the families, friends and circles around those impacted by suicide. According to the National Alliance On Mental Illness 41,000 people in the United States die by suicide each year. It’s the 2nd leading cause of death for people aged 10-24. My goal in speaking and advocacy is to be a cog in the wheel of getting that number down to zero and to make suicide ok to talk about.” Co-directed by Baton Rouge producer Greg Dicharry.
